Southeast Section Meet Sunday, February 3 St. Katherine's Butler Center Pool The Northeast Mariner Swim team brought 95 swimmers to the Section swim meet hosted by the South Family YMCA. We competed against South Family, Northwest, St. Paul YWCA and Minneapolis YWCA. Missing this year was the team from North Community YMCA which lost it's pool this year. We had an outstanding meet with the swimmer's following the instruction to swim LEGAL. Only a few DQ's, which made the coaches very proud of the effort of the swimmers. Not only did we have many personal best swims the Mariners displayed very good sportsmanship throughout the meet. Our swimmers cheered for each other and showed respect to their competitors. We qualified 96% of the team for the State swim meet. 2008 Section Results Congratulations Mariner Swimmers 15 swimmers achieved Mariner of the Meet. Midwest Regional Swim Meet Qualifiers We had swimmers make qualifying times  in new events for the Midwest Regional swim meet held at the U of M in March.   Dennis Fleming, Matt Pham, Anthony Praml, Julia Ruohomaki, Anne Story, Nikki Truong, Tyler Urban and Daniel Watkins all had qualifying time in events.
